2015 Weixelbaum Grüner Veltliner, Austria
List price 18.00; Our price 15.99
From the delicate end of the spectrum comes this lovely “gruvy” that can be used as an apéritif or as a meal starter, or as a wonderful accompaniment to sea food. Grüner is huge in Austria making up about a third of all the vineyard land in the country. The wine shows floral apple character with hints of peppery spice. It has a distinctive mineral quality and excellent balancing acid.
2016 Maui Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
List price 15.00; Our price 12.99
This is a bright, concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with passion fruit character, restrained notes of gooseberries and fresh herbs. Stone fruit plays off against citrus and some herbal components. The mouthfeel is light, with crisp, clean, zesty acidity that provides liveliness and balance.
2016 Fleur de Mer Rosé, Côtes de Provence, France
List price 20.00; Our price 17.99
This is a pretty wine that evokes aromas and flavors of fresh watermelon, cherry, subtle citrus, peach, lavender and fresh herbs. It is medium-bodied, fresh and elegant with a soft texture and mineral finish. Most importantly it is well balanced, displaying refreshing acidity. The blend is: 46% Grenache, 21% Cinsault, 14% Syrah, and the final 19%: Carignan, Mourvèdre and Cabernet. This wine has many uses.
2013 Champ de Rêves Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley, California

From the hills above Booneville in Mendocino County comes this vibrant blueberry-strawberry fruit wine intertwined with aromas of rose petals, some hazelnut and a trace of licorice,. On the palate the wine shows juicy raspberry fruit with hints of cocoa. Its well balanced acidity and minerality lead into a firmly structured finish. The wine received a 90-point rating from Parker’s Wine Advocate.
2013 Casa Santos Confidencial Tinto (Red) Reserva, Portugal
List price 14.00; Our price 11.99
The wine shows aromas of red fruits alongside some vanilla. In the mouth, there are ripe berry fruits, combining with chocolate and some dry fruits, as well. Elegant wood notes and fine tannins provided by ageing in 250 liter oak barriques. The finish is smooth, with some acidity and excellent balance.
91-points from Wine Enthusiast and 90-points from Wine Spectator: "This is loaded with concentrated dark plum, chocolate and allspice flavors, offering a plush, creamy texture. The lusciously spiced finish lingers with cocoa powder and toasted coconut notes. Drink now through 2020."
2009 Henry’s Drive Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon, Australia
List price 22.00; Our price 19.99
We found this 2009 which is very unique, having this much age on a wine that has another few years of life ahead. On the nose there are scents of chocolate, plum, herbaceous mint, and cedar. On the palate there is rich raspberry fruit with a smooth, creamy, soft mouthfeel. The wine has good balance and a long finish.
