This Saturday we are bringing Duckhorn Vineyards to the desert for a rare opportunity to taste the wines and discuss the direction the winery is heading. Duckhorn keeps unfolding new concepts by reaching out of the Napa Valley to source premium grapes from premium vineyards in nearby counties. The creation of labels such as Goldeneye, Migration and Decoy have extended the Duckhorn offering by embracing the potential of grapes growing in other perfect growing conditions. But there will always be the perfectly wonderful Napa Duckhorn line-up to savor. Founded in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn, the winery concentrated on Bordeaux varietals with a focus on Merlot. Dan became a fan of Merlot and its incredible potential while traveling through St. Emilion and Pomerol. There is not a better Merlot made in California today. Representing the winery will be Jeff Cruz, Southern California sales associate.
